Many have heard of various ways to improve self confidence. One is affirmations. This can work over time by using purposely optimistic phrases in order to shift one’s internal dialogue, which has the potential to impact their beliefs about themselves. However, this can take quite a while to show real results and it may not always penetrate the subconscious deeply.
The subconscious is where the magic happens. In the case of confidence issues or low self esteem, this is where our conscious mind is led astray and pulled down into depths of low confidence and poor self esteem. With the subconscious largely running the show in terms of how we feel and what we believe at a deep level, it’s hard to make lasting improvement by just consciously focusing on the positive occasionally. It can certainly work in the moment, especially if you amp yourself up with inspirational emotions, but does it have lasting impact?
