Overcoming Procrastination

Many people have issues, at times, with moving forward and progressing in certain areas of their lives.  It may be that they actually want to do whatever it takes to get there but they don't know where to start, or that they just don't feel motivated or capable of doing it.

One of the easiest ways to move forward quicker is to understand whether your lack of motion is coming from uncertainty or low energy/motivation?  This can help you to develop a guideline or a roadmap to where you really want to go.

If you are uncertain as to which step to take to get to where you want to go, regarding your progress toward a goal, you can first ask yourself what steps you can take today to make some amount of progress.  If you can get into a creative and inspired state of mind, answers might come that were untold before.  This is the power of feeling truly empowered.  When you feel higher emotional/energetic states, you are likely more "tuned in" to your true ability to get where you want to go.

Some ways to promote this state of mind include:  Adding tonic herbs to your diet, directing your diet toward vitality (which likely would mean more raw fruits and vegetables, especially blended or juiced), eating superfoods such as raw cacao and goji berries, and doing techniques that uplift you emotionally and energetically such as The Sedona Method or EFT.  All of these can be VERY powerful for increasing your ability to feel uplifted and more creative.

Beyond this, another powerful approach is to make an intention and write it down.  This intention is one that regards your overall goal.  A key is to state it in a way that is inspiring to you in some way.  From there, just welcome the possibility of noticing opportunities for you to act in a state of inspiration toward your goal.  This is something that author and speaker Joe Vitale promotes.  He suggests that by making a clear intention and then being open to opportunities or inspired ideas for you to move forward toward your goal, you can "manifest" your intention.  The key, though, that he points out is actually being open to taking inspired action toward your goal, which may or may not be something that requires you to do a lot of actual action.  It might just be making a phone call or visiting a website.  Making clear intentions, according to him, though, does lead to more inspired ideas for you to act on and often happen syncronistically in a way that doesn't even feel like effort.

The lesson for this would be to be clear about your intention and then be open to new ways for you to innovate.

For those who know what to do but just don't have the drive to do it, you might want to check out this article.  It details how tonic herbs have powerful effects on motivation and feelings of well-being which can help you to feel more willing to take appropriate action toward your goals.

You can also use the Sedona Method to let go of any resistance that you notice with regard to your goals.

Often times, just by letting go of resistance toward the goal and other feelings that get in the way as well as increasing your energy and feelings of motivation with tonic herbs and overall diet, the drive to progress toward your goals becomes almost magnetic.

Breaking Through Patterns

Patterns often keep us feeling stuck.  We might know that we “should” change something but there is something that keeps drawing us back.  How do we overcome this?

Luckily there are many ways.  It is a highly empowering action to overcome patterns.  By doing this, you become more in line with your true self.  YOU are not just a combination of various beliefs and habits.  You are something much more than that, though your habitual ways of living might appear to overshadow the true you sometimes.

Here is one way to break through our inner resistance to change.

VISUALIZE yourself as someone who is greatly empowered and does not remain stuck in unnecessary habits.  If you respond well to certain music, put on a song that invigorates your inner sense of freedom.   Realize that you always have access to this, it is often just your thoughts and feelings that get in the way.

Then use tools to help you get there and feel that way more consistently

I’ve found tonic herbs to be the overall best tool for increasing empowerment, so that habits do not stay as ingrained.  They can uplift you beyond laziness and inaction.  Let them work on you from the ground up.

Second to that, or first, depending on where you want to start would be overall diet.  By eating in a way that empowers you, that vision of yourself that you can sense as a possibility can be more easily obtained.  For many people, this is likely to be a diet high in raw fruits and vegetables.  For increased assimilation so that you get more from your food, blending raw fruits and vegetables to create green smoothies or raw soups can be a very powerful approach.  Stay open to your intuition, though, and add in other foods as you see fit.

A third step would be to let go of negative feelings using The Sedona Method, or EFT.  By addressing the thoughts and feelings that keep our patterns in place, you can begin to free yourself of them.

Productivity Reboot

Being more productive often comes down to two things:  Inspiration and Enthusiasm.  When you feel entirely enthusiastic about something, you automatically will use more of your abilities to further it and succeed.  This is easy when you are interested in something or if you see a direct and immediate benefit from doing something.  When it becomes difficult is during periods of "busy work" or just having to do typical tasks that might seem tiresome.

One thing to consider, as mentioned in other posts, is the food that you are eating or have easy access to.  You can start making it easier for you to choose better "pick me up" foods when you start having lower energy levels.  One of the best, for some people, is raw cacao nibs or raw chocolate products.  These can be very fast acting and invigorating without having the same potential negative effects of coffee and other high caffeine sources.  Because raw chocolate is not heated, the theobromine, which is related to caffiene, does not take on the same over-stimulating effects of coffee.  Still, some people DO NOT respond well at all to raw cacao and raw chocolate products.  This can be due to lack of quality, and improper fermentation of the cacao beans leaving it containing unwanted microbe levels.  Either way, if you notice negatives from it, it is likely better to choose another food.  For those who respond well to it, though, it can be a very empowering food.

One reason for this is that it contains SO MUCH magnesium.  Magnesium, as suggested in this post, is a very empowering and productivity promoting mineral, which many people are deficient in.  Because supplements range in quality and effectiveness, eating foods that contain high levels of magnesium is a great start.  Cacao is a wonderful food for this purpose, as long as you respond well to it.

The effect that this can have on productivity is varied.  Very likely, if you are deficient in magnesium, having foods like cacao can begin to increase concentration and feelings of contentment.  As a result, creativity and resourcefullness can increase greatly.

While productivity is surely not ALL ABOUT THE FOOD, it is definitely a leverage point to use when you are feeling less productive and don't know what to do to change it.  Foods and herbs can empower you to feel more able to handle tasks, which can motivate you to go farther and challenge yourself.  For this, it is difficult to find another food more useful than raw cacao.  They can be eaten by the handful easily as raw cacao nibs, which makes it a great trail mix additive or substitute.

Again, this might not be everyone's go-to food.  The key is to consider the use of some of the most powerful foods available as tools for personal development and productivity.  Find those which you respond well to.

Spirulina, Chlorella, and Blue Green Algea are also very useful foods for this.  You can buy spirulina or chlorella tablets, which some call "nuts", as they are easy to eat like a crunchy, somewhat nutty, snack.  While they do often leave a blue or green color on your teeth, they can be a very empowering food and often provide long-term energy.  Blue Green Algea is often available as dried flakes, which you can add to water or smoothies or sprinkle on salads for an increase in minerals like magnesium and PEA, which is a chemical we naturally release more of when we are feeling in love.  PEA is said to promote dopamine function, which can affect our level of contentment and sense of willpower.  All of these qualities can increase our productivity potential.

Meditation can sometimes seem difficult.  For those who have not yet experienced it, these ways likely can
make it easier.

1.  Try Reishi Mushroom extract - Reishi Mushroom is a powerful tonic herbs that is associated with spirituality and inner contentment.  It is said to help release suppressed emotions and promote meditation ability.  Many people experience a heightened sense of contentment and calmness during their first drink of Reishi tea.  As you drink it, see if you can sense that calmness within you and just connect with that as you allow your attention to drift from thoughts into alert awareness.

2.  Try Schizandra Berry extract -  Schizandra Berries are known to be connected to vibrancy and inner contentment.  Schizandra Berry extract mixed with water into a tea can be very invigorating. As you drink it, allow your attention to connect with a sense of vitality and contentment.  See if you can just be with that for a moment.

3.  Drink Green Smoothies - Green smoothies are an easy and effective way to deliver high amounts of very absorbable raw green nutrition, which can be very uplifting and calming.  By drinking these, you'll likely experience higher states of vitality, which can be focused upon by directing your attention inward.  This can then be embraced and turned into a meditation.

4.  Eat Dark Chocolate or Raw Cacao and see whether you can notice a natural sense of upliftment and love within you.  Connect with that and let your mind be free of thoughts for just a moment if you can.

5.  Try High Quality Colloidal Gold - This powerful supplement is known to increase overall well-being and allow you to feel more "in the moment".  According to various health experts, only true colloidal gold should be used as ionic gold might not be health promoting in the long term.

These things are not always necessary to experience meditation but they can help to promote that natural meditation ability and contentment underneath your day to day thoughts and feelings.

3/12/2013

Some foods and herbs are incredibly powerful for increasing overall well-being and initiating subtle shifts in how you feel toward things.  By eating some of these, whichever one's work well with you, you can potentially promote letting go of things that were creating inner tension or seemed difficult to release.  Still, letting go is not something that requires any particular food or herb.  Find what works for you.

1. Raw Cacao or Dark Chocolate - Chocolate, especially raw chocolate or raw cacao, is very powerful for letting go because of it's love promoting components.

2. Goji Berries - Because of their kidney/adrenal power promoting effects as well as their effect on feelings of well-being, they promote empowerment and feelings of elation which can improve the ability to welcome and release feelings.

3.  Asparagus Root - This powerful tonic herb increases feelings of contentment profoundly, which allows us to feel lighter and less attached to the lower, denser, emotional states.

4.  Reishi Mushroom - This powerful tonic herb increases feelings of well-being, similar to Asparagus Root, and is also said to help release suppressed emotions.

5.  Schizandra Berry - This powerful tonic herb increases vitality and contentment, making it easier to choose to allow feelings to release.  It also greatly benefits the liver, which, along with the gallbladder, is associated with the ability to be decisive and make clear choices.

6. Black Sesame Seed - This powerful food and tonic herb has kidney/adrenal rejuvinating effects due to it's Jing energy qualities.  This increases overall empowerment, which can increase the ability to welcome feelings and let them go.

7.  Chaga Mushroom - This powerful tonic herb increases feelings of well-being and empowerment profoundly, which can promote the natural ability to let go.

8.  Blue Green Algae - This powerful food increases feelings of well-being at a remarkable level.  It contains components that, like chocolate, increase feelings of love.  Because of this, feelings are often more easily let go.

9. Tulsi (holy basil) - This powerful tonic herb increases contentment and overall feelings of well-being.  Because of these uplifting qualities, it can improve the ability to allow feelings to release.

10. He Shou Wu - This powerful tonic herb increases feelings of well-being as well as kidney/adrenal energy.  This increases empowerment greatly and allows for a heightened ability to choose to let go.

How To Empower Yourself By Letting Go

3/2/2013

Empowerment is one of the most useful antidotes to stress.  When we feel empowered, we feel able to deal with challenges even when they seem difficult at the time.  The key to this is to let go.  When we let go of whatever feeling is holding us back, we become more "in the moment".  This creates empowerment as more of our awareness is unlocked and able to notice opportunities and solutions.

How To Let Go

One of the best ways to let go is by using The Sedona Method.  This is a powerful process for letting go that shows you how to allow or welcome your feelings and let them go in the moment.  Often times, just answering the first question in the process (could I let it go?) will lead to a release.  The rest of the questions are available here on the Sedona Method website.

Letting go can happen just by allowing, however, which is one of the first steps of The Sedona Method.  They teach various ways to let go, including using questions like the one mentioned before, but allowing or welcoming is the central component.  This truly is what letting go comes down do.  Just by fully embracing a feeling as it is, it can naturally release.  The opposite, which many people unknowingly do, holds it in place.

One thing that I've found helpful is to use what I call The Drawing Technique to overcome hard to let go of feelings.  By noticing the feeling and getting a general idea of where you feel it in your body, you can go a step farther (if that doesn't cause it to release) by imagining yourself drawing or tracing the emotion.  Basically you are imagining what the shape of the emotion would be, which causes you to even more notice how the emotion feels and where you feel it.  This can help you to get out of "thinking" and more into feeling, even though you are thinking about the shape of the emotion.  You have to connect with the feeling to get an idea of what it would look like if you could draw the shape of it.  This connection can help you to release it because it is being fully embraced.

In essence, noticing what you feel and where you feel it is the initial step that can allow many feelings to be let go.  From there, asking the questions in The Sedona Method or trying The Drawing Technique can often help.

The Sedona Method is a wonderful technique to learn if you are interested in inner healing and overall empowerment.  The other technique listed is something I've found helpful but might not be what works for you.  Learn your own ways to release and let them bring you into higher levels of empowerment.

The tonic herbs in our store are also very helpful for promoting empowerment and inner healing.  We offer only what we feel are the highest quality herbal products.
